Self Reliance courses run for two or three days. The group has a self reliance kit which is basically a rucksack each with everything in it to get them through the weekend. You live on 24 hour ration packs or cook over an open fire and do everything required to have a comfortable weekend.This is a very good group / team building activity which wil be remembered for quite a while. More isolated locations available if required. 12 places per course.

Bushcraft Introduction (one day multi skills)

A 6 hour session choosing various bushcraft skills to work on. Friction firestarting, shelter building, spoon carving, whistle making...........plus much more. 12 places per day.

Bushcraft Introduction (two day multi skills)

A twenty four hour experience of sleeping in the woods, preparing fires, sourcing and making safe water, knife skills, open fire cooking, camp safety and hygiene. A great little confidence booster for young people. 12 places per course.

Woodland Aikido / Bushcraft Bukiwaza

This course combines Aikido training and Bushcraft. A course provided by our sister organisation Iwama Ryu North West 20 places per course.

Canoe Bushcraft

A relaxing weekend for couples or friends who want something different. A slow four mile paddle to a small woodland to work on camp basics of set up. fire starting, knife handling and then spoon carving. Adults only at the moment. 2 places per course.

Ladies Bushcraft Self Defence Weekend

Ladies Bushcraft Self Defence is a full two day course combining team building, confidence building, self defence skills, and self reliant bushcraft skills. Ladies will use our self reliant kits to get through this demanding two day event. All kit hire and food is included in the cost. A very rewarding personal challenge. 12 places per course.

Ladies taster weekend

An overnight experience for groups of ladies. We will cover Bushcraft, Self Defence, and Target Shooting in short taster sessions. 12 places per course.

Manhunt

A four hour session for young people. A brief safety chat and then the group is split into hunter force teams. They will have 90 minutes to catch the escapee and return them to base camp. The group will then have lunch, cooked over an open fire. Group size 12 juniors maximum.

The Bare Necessities

As the name suggests, this is a two day event going out into the woods will minimal kit. Participants will be offered a list of twelve items from which they can choose a selected number of items to get through the two days. Food provided. 12 places per course.

Four Seasons Bushcraft

Four Bushcraft courses over the year going out in all of our seasons, different weather, different kit, different experiences. 12 places per course (all four over the year)

Yoga Bushcraft

A two or three day woodland experience for yoga practitioners. Wild camping, bushcraft skills and Yoga sessions. 12 places per course.

Lads and Dads (Mums and Daughters)

An overnight camping experience for the litle ones, (or big ones!) 6 places per course

Extreme Winter Woodland Aikido / Bushcraft

Exteme Winter Woodland is a three day and two night event, staying out in whatever the weather. Our Extreme course in December 2010 has temperature down to -10, heavy rain and a freezing camp site. A great adventure for the beginners who attended. Incorporating either Aikido or Bushcraft it is a challenge for all. 12 places per course.

Birthday Parties

Option 1.

A four hour bespoke session for the birthday boy or girl in a safe woodland setting. They can make dens, run riot, have spear throwing competitions, shooting competitions, if you can think of it then as long as it is safe, we will try to provide it. We do not cater on these sessions but you may bring snacks and cake etc. If you wish for the party to be catered we can only provide sausages or burgers cooked over an open fire or you may bring your own food to cook. 12 places per party.

Option 2.

A two day overnight experience including bushcraft activities for young people. Introducing them to self reliance and responsibility. Includes all kit hire and food. You can choose the activities they do. 12 places per party.

Stag / Hen do

A 2 or 3 day event for any groups wanting to do something different. Not a booze weekend but one filled with bushcraft skills, shooting, open fire cooking, hunting........whatever you wish to do we will try to accommodate it. Includes all kit hire, food and a complimentary bottle for the birthday boy or girl.

Corporate

Any business or organisation which would like us to arrange a one, two or three day event for your staff, you must contact us. Excellent for team building, individual skills and personal challenges. All corporate courses are bespoke for each individual group.

Air Rifles

Air rifle activities tend to be incorporated into other Bushcraft sessions. If you would like to have a weekend of mainly shooting and / or hunting then please get in touch. All guns and pellets included.

Bushcraft Hunting

A twenty four hour experience sleeping out in the woods with an early start to go hunting. We only hunt pigeon, rabbit and squirrel. These are classed as pests but do make a good meal if cooked correctly. We do not make any guarantee of catching anything for the pot but if we do it's a bonus. Includes kit hire, use of guns and ration packs. Skinning and gutting will also take place, not for the squeemish! This course is aimed at the novice who just has an interest. 4 places per course.

Please note we ask for a deposit for our kit hire. This is returned or retained after each event if all kit is intact. Please note if excessive kit loss or damage occurs then Lancashire Bushcraft will ask the group or organisation to replace it at cost price.
